Festival Hosts Nominated for CARA Award

Irish International A Cappella Festival hosts Ardú have been nominated in the Best Classical/Traditional Song category of the 2019 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards with their track Homeward Bound.

The annual CARAs recognise the best of recorded a cappella music and are the only truly global a cappella recording awards. Every year since 1992, hundreds of albums are considered in this celebration of the best a cappella recorded around the planet.

Homeward Bound was arranged for Ardú by young composer/arranger Ollie Lambert and was released as part of their recent album Gravity in September 2018.

Previous winners in this category include The Swingles and a cappella global superstars Pentatonix!

This years’ winners will be announced at a red carpet event in Boston on Sunday 14th April 2019. Exciting times ahead for Irish A Cappella. Watch this space for the winner to be revealed.
