Terms & Conditions

-IIACF has the right to accept or refuse any application to perform. Schedules are subject to confirmation. IIACF may change schedules if it is deemed beneficial to the festival and its patrons.

-International competitors will be required to pay an entry fee of €150 upon acceptance of their place in the festival. National competitors are required to pay €60 to participate in the national heats.

-There are two categories: Small Ensemble (up to 10) and Chorus (10+). Each category will have a winner and the highest mark from both categories will be the overall winner.

-Performing on stage using handheld microphones or small diaphragm spot microphones as supplied by our technical staff. Participants are allowed to bring their own technical equipment in accordance with our technical director. All performances will be amplified.

-No instruments are allowed performing on stage except for very basic percussion. We do allow effect and loop devices, as long as the input signal can still be determined to be nothing but a singer’s live voice. Prerecorded audio samples are not allowed.

-International applicants will be required to submit a 15 minute recording (video or audio) as part of their final entry. For national applicants we require 10 minutes.

-IIACF is not capable of bearing any costs of transportation or accommodation for its participants. For international competitors we will be happy to offer suggestions of where to stay during your trip.

-Each performer in the international category will be required to perform a 15 minute set. National heat entrants will be required to sing a 10 minute set. Any overtime will be fined by the judges.

-Two category winners from the national heats will automatically qualify for the international competition. Further competitors may be chosen at the adjudicators discretion. Qualifiers may perform all of or part of the same set in the international competition.

-IIACF will require a full programme of your set in advance of the competition. The songs need to be listed in the order of the performance and must include: Songwriter/Composer, Arranger (Please indicate if it is an original composition or the arrangement was made by a group member).

-IIACF will provide warm up space, green room and short soundcheck before the competition.

-Marking criteria is available to all entrants upon request and confirmation of entry.

-Prizes will vary from cash prizes (to be decided upon adjudication), recording and performance opportunities, as well as a trophy to keep.

-All winners will be required to perform at the winners gala concert on Sunday June 30.
