Ireland's A Cappella Competition was founded in 2016 by Ardú Vocal Ensemble to promote and encourage the genre of a cappella singing in Ireland. Since then, the competition has become one of the most anticipated a cappella events in the year!

Guidelines and Rules

- The competition is divided into 2 categories: Large Chorus and Small Ensemble. Prizes will be awarded to
one winning group from each category. The group with the highest overall mark from either the small
ensemble or large chorus category will be awarded the Overall Winner prize.  

- All ensembles should perform repertoire from the contemporary a cappella repertoire, including but not
limited to barbershop, do-wop. close harmony etc. Use of other performance devices such as body
percussion, beatboxing and choreography is encouraged.
